Sophia George ARCM trained at the Royal College & Royal Academy of Music in London. Sophia has been teaching music & drama for over 15 years.
She has performed on London’s West End stages (under her stage name Sophia Wylie) as a professional actress & singer appearing in many musicals inluding Cameron Mackintosh's Phantom of The Opera & in operas both in London & Glyndebourne where she was directed by Sir Peter Hall. She starred in the West End with Patti Lupone in Masterclass at the Queens Theatre on Shaftsbury Avenue. Sophia also performed in the Olivier Award winning musical Company at the Albery Theatre alongside Adrian Lester & directed by Sam Mendes.
She is very involved in theatre in Brighton & Hove with her production company 'Beside The Seaside Productions'. Most recently she performed in the acclaimed production of The Big Bite-Size Banquet in the Brighton Festival Fringe 2011 following on from last years success in the Festival.
The previous year she produced & starred in the award winning show in the Brighton Fringe Festival 'Here Comes The Bride'. The show was a sell out in the Fringe receiving two 5***** reviews and three Outstanding Theatre Awards.
Sophia recently enjoyed performing in Acorn Antiques The Musical with a West-End cast of actors and a fantastic local cast this summer.
She is currently co producing The Big Bite-Size Vintage Tea Party in the Brighton Fringe Festival 2012.
From her experience as a teacher, performer but most importantly as a mum, Sophia has devised these original & innovative sessions helping your child to learn through music & drama.
